Candidates should possess at least six years of experience in software development or a related field, along with experience in technical leadership, guiding engineering teams through complex projects, and experience with Java, Python, Golang, or TypeScript/Node.js. Strong experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL/PostgreSQL/DynamoDB is required, as well as experience in designing and developing fault-tolerant and scalable distributed systems and familiarity with AWS cloud services including ESC/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, VPN, and RDS. Candidates should also have experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CLI, AWS CDK/Terraform) and demonstrate strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues to non-technical audiences, while following engineering best practices and proposing new ones.
The Staff Software Engineer, Finance Engineering will design, implement, and maintain the Flex platform's Finance service and internal tooling, including financial reporting and reconciliation/audit processes. They will design and develop new APIs and functionalities to support large money movements across banking partners via various payment rails like ACH, scale out the core platform to support business growth while maintaining performance and reliability, and continuously improve daily operations through automation, tooling, design evolution, and observability. Furthermore, they will work closely with product, analytics, finance, and engineering teams to launch new financial features and provide experience with finance reporting and reconciliation.
