Requirements

Candidates should possess 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, designing and building production systems at scale, along with proven experience as a senior or staff engineer in product-facing teams. Proficiency in modern web technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL, alongside backend technologies and data pipelines, is required. Strong communication and leadership skills, coupled with a self-motivated and solutions-oriented approach, are essential.

Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer will architect and evolve a scalable onboarding platform, drive the technical vision and roadmap, lead initiatives to make Forter’s integration experience a strategic differentiator, provide technical mentorship to engineers, and collaborate with Product, Go-To-Market, and other stakeholders to understand merchant needs and translate them into technical initiatives. They will also own key architectural decisions, drive cross-team engineering initiatives, and be a trusted partner to other teams within the organization.
