Requirements

Responsibilities

The Staff Software Engineer will create and maintain shared services to reduce redundancy and support accelerated development, stability, and scale. They will collaborate cross-functionally to spec, design, and build features, lead the design and development of backend services within a large-scale monorepo, and architect scalable, reliable systems. Responsibilities include influencing architecture decisions, owning technical strategy, establishing tooling and development patterns, applying a data-driven approach to development, and modeling high engineering standards through clear design docs, clean code, thorough testing, and operational excellence. Additionally, the engineer will champion Ironclad's values, mentor engineers, participate in hiring, and build systems that contribute to the company's mission.
