We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform. As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the next generation of our internal marketplace console, focusing on scheduling, automations, payment flow, customer communications, reports, and dashboards. You'll have the opportunity to lead cross-functional projects, architect robust solutions, and contribute to the scalability and reliability of the Luna platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Computer Science is strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience delivering software.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the next generation of our internal marketplace console.
  • Identify and propose strategies around technical problems, securing buy-in from other teams.
  • Lead cross-functional projects with other teams to implement impactful solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the Engineering team's performance.
  • Focus areas can include:
    • Mobile API’s
    • Backend integration
    • Migration to Elixir
    • Building new features for admins
  • Dedicated time to mentor and develop less senior engineers through code reviews and exemplary coding practices.
  • Identify and proactively prioritize tech debt in collaboration with the Product team.
  • Minimize technical complexity while delivering high-quality solutions that integrate multiple applications.
  • Solve significantly complex software problems with near-ideal solutions in terms of resilience, fault tolerance, scalability, and stability.
  • Work with external contractors, including delegation responsibilities as a Team Lead.
  • Test, release, and monitor your own code.
