Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (an advanced degree in a directly applicable area may substitute for up to two years of job-related experience)
  • 7+ years of infrastructure and operations experience in a technical role, including design, implementation, disaster recovery, network security architecture, and engineering
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum
  • Experience in software development
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or others
  • Experience with IaC at scale with tools like Terraform and ArgoCD
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with observability tools like Prometheus & Grafana, Datadog, and New Relic
  • Experience with Linux, Windows platforms, and Active Directory
  • Experience working in a team

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer infrastructure environment & platform to solve current challenges and create future opportunities
  • Lead initiatives to improve the platform from inception to design, implementation, and optimization, working with many teams and team members
  • Establish working relationships with business members, technical staff, and subject matter experts to help create and execute the infrastructure roadmap
  • Correspond with TECH/IT executives and stakeholders to maintain and execute the infrastructure roadmap
  • Provide forward-thinking on technology and innovative solutions with a strong emphasis on automating infrastructure and technology solutions
  • Evolve PaaS implementations, working with vendor solutions and cloud services
  • Participate in monitoring, troubleshooting, and RCA for security and infrastructure events
  • Accomplish tasks both independently and collaboratively; provide high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Provide leadership, assistance, and technical guidance to the SRE Team
  • Facilitate and manage discussions with TECH/IT Executives, Architects, and Senior Engineers
  • Collaborate with security team on architecture design and tools
  • Provide governance of Infrastructure as a Service environment; stay current on TECH/IT strategy, business goals, technology trends, updates, and releases
  • Comply with security requirements set forth by the Information Security team and the ISO 27001 Security Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities Document
  • Indirect supervisory role as a leader on the team; lead projects from inception to implementation and lead other team members to succeed
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; ensure compliance across teams
  • Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
