Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 8+ years equivalent experience in Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics, or MS with 6+ years’ experience in product development, development, and manufacturing
  • Proficiency in PCBA CAD build software such as Altium or equivalent
  • Proficiency in analog and digital circuitry development
  • Expertise in communication protocols
  • Experience with 32-bit microcontrollers, DSPs, ADCs, DACs, and more
  • Demonstrated history of managing vendors and contract manufacturers
  • Value engineering, process development, DFM/DFA/DFx experience
  • Experience with premier electromechanical providers and contract manufacturers
  • Experience with devices regulated by agencies like CSA, UL, ISO 13485
  • PCBA layout and EMC mitigation
  • Ability to build cost estimate models for sourced materials
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to self-manage projects
  • Sophisticated technical writing skills
  • Significant expertise with building tools
  • Experience with scientific instrumentation (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with R&D, product development, quality, and procurement to mitigate risk in PCBA supply base
  • Lead a team of electrical engineers
  • Manage your own set of projects
  • Identify risk components and invent and provide alternate component or design solutions
  • Primary focus on PCBAs, with future opportunities in electromechanical components, assemblies, and OEM assemblies
  • Travel up to 20% globally
