Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
6+ years of experience in quality assurance/testing roles, with a focus on BSS/OSS systems in the telecommunications industry
Proficiency in testing OSS/BSS components, including but not limited to billing systems, provisioning systems, CRM systems, etc
Proficiency in test planning, test case design, and test execution methodologies
Hands-on experience with test automation tools/frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Appium, JMeter, TestNG, Robot Framework etc)
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous testing (CI/CT) practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams
Certifications in quality assurance/testing (e.g., ISTQB) and telecommunications (e.g., TMForum) are a plus
Strong background in telecommunications or related industries, with a deep understanding of architectures and protocols

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define testing strategies for BSS/OSS applications, considering factors such as system integration, scalability, and performance
Develop and execute test cases to verify functionality, performance, and reliability of OSS/BSS systems
Collaborate with system architects and integration teams to perform end-to-end testing of billing system integrations with other BSS/OSS components, third-party systems, and network elements
Validate data flows, interfaces, and data transformations to ensure seamless integration and data consistency across systems
Identify and report defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution
Automate test cases where applicable to improve efficiency and scalability of testing processes
Execute regression tests to validate the impact of system changes, upgrades, and patches on BSS/OSS and billing system functionalities and configurations
Conduct regression testing to validate fixes and enhancements
Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality standards are met throughout the development lifecycle
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in OSS/BSS testing methodologies
