Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience driving large-scale, complex software or connected-services products (e.g., IoT, SaaS, mobility)
  • Proven ability to own a product domain or platform, set multi-year strategy, and deliver high-impact product lines that drive measurable business results
  • Experience mentoring other PMs, establishing best practices, and influencing product standards across teams
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills; adept at balancing short-term delivery with long-term strategy
  • This role requires approximately 25% travel
  • 5+ years working on subscription or usage-based business models, ideally across B2C and B2B domains such as IoT, SaaS, or connected mobility
  • Deep understanding of growth and engagement metrics (adoption, retention, churn, ARPU, NPS) and demonstrated ability to improve them through experimentation and data-driven iteration
  • Familiarity with telematics, connected vehicles, or mobile/IoT ecosystems

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution for an OnStar Services domain, aligning customer value, business outcomes (recurring revenue, loyalty, retention) with technology platform evolution
  • Drive and prioritize the multi-year roadmap for services across in-vehicle, mobile, web, and fleet surfaces; ensure the architecture and data platform support scale, monetization, and new business models
  • Lead multiple PM/feature teams (or mentor other PMs) and coordinate cross-functionally to deliver technically complex service launches globally
  • Define, monitor, and drive strategic metrics (e.g., ARPU growth, service attach rate, fleet renewal, platform cost per user) and use data to iterate and drive business model pivots
  • Act as trusted advisor to engineering, legal/privacy, operations, and business leadership; remove cross-organization blockers and make trade-off decisions at the platform/domain level
  • Evangelize the vision of connected services internally and externally, influence senior leadership, partner with external stakeholders (e.g. OEM partners, telematics/data providers) to scale the ecosystem
  • Scan and shape emerging technology trends (e.g., AI/ML, edge-telematics, vehicle data services, usage-based models) and incorporate into roadmap as differentiators
