Requirements

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience as a Product Designer, with a strong focus on Design Systems. Proven ability to lead the development, documentation, and adoption of a design system is essential. Experience in creating robust, reusable UI components, including custom Data Grids and Form builders, is required. Familiarity with accessibility, localization, and responsiveness best practices is necessary. Experience in facilitating engineering collaboration and building design tools, such as linting systems and automated workflows, is also a key requirement. A background in measuring component metrics and addressing design debt is expected.

Responsibilities

The Staff Product Designer will lead the evolution, documentation, and adoption of Deel's design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across all products. They will maintain and improve the quality of UI components and patterns for web and mobile platforms, leading the public showcasing of the design system. Responsibilities include developing technical components like Data Grids and Form builders, measuring component metrics, and identifying design debt. Additionally, the role involves fostering stronger engineering collaboration, building tools to enhance designer and engineer experience, and developing systems for design token automation and streamlined handoff processes.
