Requirements

Candidates should have 8+ years of relevant product design experience, ideally in fast-paced, product-led companies, with staff-level responsibilities and leadership presence. Experience designing AI-powered product features or tooling, or a strong interest and capacity to ramp up quickly in this space is required. Strong systems thinking, familiarity with concepts like model transparency, feedback loops, user control, and responsible AI, and a strong understanding of human-centered design principles are essential. Experience designing in a cybersecurity context or for privacy-sensitive domains, and a portfolio demonstrating depth in information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and visual design are necessary. The ability to navigate ambiguity, define strategy, mentor other designers, and role-model curiosity, resilience, and thoughtful design critique is also required.

Responsibilities

The Staff Product Designer - AI will operate as a strategic leader and expert practitioner, shaping the future of AI product experiences. They will define and champion UX vision and strategy for their area of ownership, partnering closely with product and engineering leaders to set direction. This role involves tackling complex, ambiguous problems, framing challenges, setting priorities, and using evidence-based insights to drive design decisions. The designer will mentor and coach other designers, elevate the team's craft, and influence the roadmap at the highest levels of the organization, ensuring security principles guide design work while keeping the user experience clear, approachable, and trustworthy.
