Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Platform, Infrastructure, or DevOps Engineering roles, with significant time spent on large-scale compute migrations
  • Expert-level proficiency in Kubernetes (design, deployment, operations, networking, security, and scaling)
  • Deep, hands-on experience with AWS compute services, particularly AWS Lambda and ECS/Fargate, and a clear understanding of their operational models and scaling

Responsibilities

  • Define the technical roadmap, migration patterns, and reference architectures for moving Lambda functions and ECS services to our self-managed or managed Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS
  • Develop robust, scalable, and automated solutions for running event-driven, serverless-like workflows on Kubernetes, potentially utilizing technologies like KEDA or similar cloud-native tools
  • Use Terraform/Terragrunt and Helm to build and manage the necessary underlying Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, and deployment tooling
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to understand their unique workload requirements, provide consultation on re-platforming best practices, and develop standardized tools (e.g., CI/CD pipelines) for easy migration and deployment
  • Benchmark migrated services, optimize resource requests/limits, and implement advanced observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) solutions to ensure parity or improvement in service SLOs
  • Establish best practices, guardrails, and documentation for running event-based compute on Kubernetes to ensure a smooth transition and sustainable operation post-migration

HeartFlow

Non-invasive cardiac testing for heart disease

About HeartFlow

HeartFlow provides a non-invasive cardiac test that helps visualize a patient's coronary arteries in detail. This technology allows physicians to diagnose and treat heart disease more effectively without the need for invasive procedures, which reduces risks for patients and costs for healthcare providers. HeartFlow's main clients are healthcare professionals seeking safer diagnostic methods. The company offers several analyses, including FFRCT Analysis and Plaque Analysis, all of which have received FDA clearance and are available in multiple countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, and Canada. Unlike many competitors, HeartFlow focuses on providing a comprehensive suite of analyses that enhance treatment planning. The goal of HeartFlow is to improve cardiovascular care by making it safer and more efficient for both patients and healthcare providers.
