Requirements

Act as a role model demonstrating genuine care and setting standards for the pharmacy team
Support the Pharmacy Manager in leading and directing the pharmacy team
Be accountable for management, oversight, and operation of all aspects within the pharmacy
Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager and oversee the pharmacy as proxy during bench shifts without overlap
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Follow and direct the pharmacy team to follow pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs
Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills, including company-required trainings and CMEs
Actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients

Responsibilities

Live our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Strengthen pharmacy performance measures through effective coaching, consistent follow-up of pharmacy team members, and providing feedback to the Pharmacy Manager
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, coaching the pharmacy team, demonstrating compassionate care, collaborating with the patient’s total healthcare team, and proactively resolving insurance and/or medication issues
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Support effective management of pharmacy inventory by following and coaching on all inventory best practices, with focus on protecting cold chain products
Partner with the Pharmacy Manager to ensure pharmacy operations are compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; support the Pharmacy Manager by writing the pharmacy schedule if directed
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible; empower the pharmacy team to provide such services
