Responsibilities

Live CVS purpose by managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee pharmacy during bench shifts without Pharmacy Manager overlap, including coaching team, following up on performance, and providing feedback to Pharmacy Manager
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing team on workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, resolving insurance/medication issues, and coaching team on compassionate care
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, engaging and supporting Pharmacy Technicians to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching on best practices, focusing on cold chain products
Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations, escalating issues as needed
Remain flexible for scheduling/business needs and contribute to safe, inclusive team dynamic, including writing schedules if directed
Maintain clinical/technical skills via trainings/CMEs and expand knowledge to support patients
Support access to care and improve outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical services (e.g., testing, prescribing for COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception where permissible), empowering the team
