Candidates should possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and be licensed as a pharmacist in the state where they will be working. They should have at least two years of experience as a pharmacist, demonstrating a strong understanding of pharmaceutical principles and patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to community involvement.
The Staff Pharmacist will counsel patients on their medication needs, accurately process and dispense prescription orders, maintain confidential patient information, and administer immunizations as required. They will also monitor and interpret changes in employment legislation across North America and develop HR policies to ensure compliance, conduct audits, deliver training, and advise management on HR-related risk mitigation strategies. Furthermore, they will understand the business, from inventory control to cost savings for patients to compliance, model and provide guidance to the pharmacy staff on proper customer service approaches, and use tools, data and personal conversations to understand their community and common concerns.
