Requirements

Degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or related sciences
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or similar industry (highly regulated health sector)
Proficiency in French and English
Practical knowledge of external regulatory standards in environmental monitoring/cleanrooms, microbiology/sterilization, cleaning biocompatibility, and laboratory testing such as EU MDR, GMP, ISO standards, EP
Prior laboratory experience
Knowledge of different sterilization modalities (e.g., gamma, steam)

Responsibilities

Ensure Stryker products are clean and sterile in accordance with regulatory requirements and medical device standards
Oversee and maintain cleanliness and sterility during testing, monitoring, and validation of cleaning and sterilization processes, as well as in associated manufacturing facilities
Mentor and provide technical guidance across various areas of expertise within and outside the team
Ensure compliance of products with all applicable regulations and standards
Support maintenance of classification and cleanliness of controlled environments in accordance with applicable standards
Monitor facilities, including those for water production used in cleaning processes
Manage coordination of process monitoring activities under the Sterility Assurance team
Analyze and control process trends, particularly related to laboratory testing, cleaning, and sterilization; continuously identify opportunities to stabilize trends and use statistical controls and other tools to identify cost-saving opportunities
Train and mentor team members and functional groups as needed
Participate in global initiatives and cross-site expert groups to develop and harmonize internal sterilization and laboratory practices (including planning, consumables and inventory management, and maintenance of qualified and validated equipment and processes)
Manage validation and requalification activities as well as associated projects
Implement and adapt process and facility indicators under the team's responsibility
Maintain relationships and support suppliers for which the Sterility Assurance team is responsible
Act as a global expert, sharing knowledge across the Stryker organization worldwide
Implement continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with all relevant standards
Propose internal projects to the manager for evaluation and implementation of global strategies
