Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert and support day-to-day export and import operational transactions in the AMEA region
  • Work with Illumina’s customs brokers in the APJ region for timely and accurate customs clearances
  • Use SAP GTS for shipment management, SPL block release, license management, & reporting
  • Work with local governmental agencies to resolve import and export holds
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate import/export risks across the AMEA region
  • Support the establishment and enforcement of robust internal controls
  • Participate in trade compliance training for internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with global stakeholder teams to develop and implement new trade compliance processes and initiatives across the AMEA region
  • Monitor and interpret new customs/trade regulations and laws in AMEA region
  • Maintain accurate trade data for all products, including ECCNs, HTS codes, Country of Origin, accurate valuation, and invoice accuracy, to ensure timely and compliant customs clearance
  • Maintain recordkeeping and document management related to import/export transactions
  • Support internal/external customers by providing timely updates on export/import shipments
