Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electrical Technology, or related field) from an accredited program
  • Minimum 2 years related job experience required
  • Relevant industry experience (4 years or more preferred)
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills within the team/department
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships within the team/department
  • Basic understanding of power generation operations
  • Basic understanding of economic drivers to the business
  • Ability to apply basic problem-solving techniques to address routine issues

Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned tasks with guidance from supervision
  • Assemble and collate issue-specific information to support studies
  • Assist in organization and occasionally lead assigned projects
  • Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Prepare and present routine reports
  • Participate in special projects, committee assignments, and routine problem-solving efforts as requested
  • Size motors, overcurrent electrical devices, relaying, and other electrical devices
  • Perform design changes for electrical components and systems
  • Ensure compliance with all IEEE, NEIL, NRC, and NFPA code requirements
  • Maintain medium and low voltage systems, including maintenance and trending of component-level equipment
