Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electrical Technology, or related field) from an accredited program
- Minimum 2 years related job experience required
- Relevant industry experience (4 years or more preferred)
- Teamwork and collaboration skills within the team/department
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships within the team/department
- Basic understanding of power generation operations
- Basic understanding of economic drivers to the business
- Ability to apply basic problem-solving techniques to address routine issues
Responsibilities
- Perform assigned tasks with guidance from supervision
- Assemble and collate issue-specific information to support studies
- Assist in organization and occasionally lead assigned projects
- Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Prepare and present routine reports
- Participate in special projects, committee assignments, and routine problem-solving efforts as requested
- Size motors, overcurrent electrical devices, relaying, and other electrical devices
- Perform design changes for electrical components and systems
- Ensure compliance with all IEEE, NEIL, NRC, and NFPA code requirements
- Maintain medium and low voltage systems, including maintenance and trending of component-level equipment
