Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent discipline, with at least 8 years of experience in a technical support or customer-facing technical role. Essential skills include excellent written and verbal communication in English, the ability to collaborate effectively in a global team environment, experience configuring/troubleshooting drivers like ODBC and JDBC, strong understanding of AWS services (S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, Route 53) or similar Azure/GCP services, experience with Spark and Kafka concepts, and proficiency in using third-party troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark or Fiddler. Debugging/development experience in Python is also required.
The Staff Cloud Support Engineer will drive technical solutions for complex customer problems, providing in-depth analysis and guidance via email, web, and phone. Responsibilities include adhering to response and resolution SLAs, utilizing the Snowflake environment and related tools to investigate issues, documenting solutions in the knowledge base, reporting bugs and feature requests to Engineering, and proactively identifying recommendations for product quality and customer experience improvements. The role may also involve providing support coverage during holidays and weekends and working with Priority Support customers to understand their use cases and ensure optimal platform performance.
