Omada Health is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to support their Corporate Accounting team. This role is crucial for ensuring strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and efficient accounting operations. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of accounting principles, meticulous attention to detail, and a desire for professional growth within a high-performing team.

About You

• Accomplished accounting professional with 2-3 years of experience in corporate accounting.
• Comprehensive foundational understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
• Aptitude for process optimization.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to support compliance and efficiency.

Your Impact

• Work Product Ownership: Take responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks, learning from both successes and errors.
• Operational Support: Assist with core accounting processes including the monthly close, fixed asset tracking, accruals, prepaid expenses, and lease accounting.
• Internal Controls: Follow established internal controls and help document accounting procedures to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial practices comply with accounting standards, laws, and regulations, escalating issues as needed.
• Process Improvement: Help identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy within the corporate accounting function and the broader organization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, and other teams by providing timely, accurate financial data and documentation.
• Audit Preparedness: Support audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation to ensure a smooth and timely audit process.

Bonus Points For

• Experience working in a Big 4 accounting firm or a publicly traded company.
• Exposure to process improvement initiatives or interest in identifying ways to increase efficiency.
• Strong Excel skills and interest in learning data tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting concepts to non-accounting teammates.
• Actively pursuing CPA licensure or have passed one or more sections of the CPA exam.
