Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience
3–5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles
Proficiency with accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
Knowledge of job costing concepts (preferred)
Understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations
Ability to handle sensitive financial data with discretion

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Apply GAAP principles to ensure accuracy and compliance
Manage adjusting entries, depreciation, and amortization schedules
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded
Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly
Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Manage state permits and sales tax registrations
Assist with filing monthly sales tax returns
Stay current on changes in accounting and tax laws
Prepare commission schedules for the sales team
Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed
Assist with periodic physical inventory checks and adjustments
Generate ad-hoc reports and provide financial analysis as requested
