Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
4+ years of relevant tax experience
Experience with predicting liabilities for Federal and/or State tax
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization skills
Experience with computerized tax software and research programs
Knowledge of federal and state tax law and current developments
Strong Excel proficiency
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred)
GAAP ASC 740 tax accounting experience or knowledge (preferred)
Statutory SSAP 101 tax accounting experience or knowledge (preferred)
Good working knowledge of OneSource Tax Provision software (preferred)

Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret tax laws, regulations, GAAP, and Statutory tax accounting principles
Prepare technical reports on how tax laws impact the organization's operations
Maintain tax information and records
Prepare tax returns and other required reports
Pay tax declarations to ensure compliance obligations are submitted accurately and on time
Prepare correspondence with external tax agencies (e.g. auditors)
Influence department's strategy
Make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components
Perform work without direction
Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
