Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and accounting software (NetSuite or similar)
  • Familiarity with GAAP, ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 340 (Deferred Commissions) and ASC 350 (Software Capitalization)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements
  • Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules
  • Manage accounts payable coding, approvals, and expense accruals
  • Support payroll journal entries and employee benefit reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet and income statement variances
  • Support management with financial performance analysis and reporting
  • Assist in preparing schedules for audits, tax and external reporting requirements
  • Ensure adherence to internal control policies and GAAP standards
  • Support the implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Participate in external and internal audit and tax requests and compliance reviews
  • Support ERP (e.g., NetSuite, Bill.com, Divvy, Expensify) maintenance and data accuracy
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
  • Assist with integration of new systems or subsidiaries, if applicable
