Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required
CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment
Experience with SaaS, digital health, or multi-entity structures a plus
Strong proficiency with Excel and accounting software (NetSuite or similar)
Familiarity with GAAP, ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 340 (Deferred Commissions) and ASC 350 (Software Capitalization)
Experience with financial reporting tools and reconciliations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in venture-backed or high-growth companies (preferred)
Comfort with cross-functional collaboration (HR, Operations, FP&A) (preferred)
Prior involvement in system implementation or process optimization initiatives (preferred)

Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements
Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Manage accounts payable coding, approvals, and expense accruals
Support payroll journal entries and employee benefit reconciliations
Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet and income statement variances
Support management with financial performance analysis and reporting
Assist in preparing schedules for audits, tax and external reporting requirements
Ensure adherence to internal control policies and GAAP standards
Support the implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Participate in external and internal audit and tax requests and compliance reviews
Support ERP (e.g., NetSuite, Bill.com, Divvy, Expensify) maintenance and data accuracy
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements
Assist with integration of new systems or subsidiaries, if applicable
