Candidates should possess a strong knowledge of Maya, an understanding of Unity and Animation Systems within Unity, 5-7 years of experience in creating animation control rigs and skinning characters in games/TV/film/VFX, and a solid understanding of anatomy, animation, and motion. They should also have experience with scripting languages and tools development skills using Mel/Python/Maya API, along with experience with organic and mechanical rigging.
The Senior Tools Engineer/Rigger will design, create, test, and maintain character/creature animation control rigs, develop techniques to optimize character deformations, collaborate with artists on technical requirements of characters, work with animators to iterate on character control systems, build pipeline tools to optimize art and animation workflows, and debug animation-related day-to-day issues.
