The Senior Solution Architect is a key member of the Pre-Sales team, working directly with customers, assisting account managers in sales calls, and recommending business and technical solutions. This customer-facing role offers opportunities to shape client engagement, project delivery, and technology adoption. The role requires collaboration, attention to detail, and a consultative approach to deliver exceptional enterprise solutions. Responsibilities include creating architectural designs, infrastructure/connectivity analysis, leading workshops, writing documentation, and developing project estimates.

Requirements

  • Experience: Deep experience designing and architecting complex, cross-domain IT solutions across hybrid cloud, data center, storage, networking, data protection, and infrastructure modernization technologies at enterprise clients.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking, including LAN/WAN architecture, SD-WAN, routing and switching, wireless, network security, and network segmentation best practices.
  • Certifications: CCNP (Cisco) - Desired

Responsibilities

  • Pre-Sales Engagement: Serve as the technical lead in pre-sales engagements for NRI North America’s Hybrid Infrastructure practice.
  • Solution Development: Collaborate with account executives to understand client requirements and develop tailored infrastructure solutions.
  • Architecture Design: Design and present end-to-end solutions across hybrid cloud, data center, storage, networking, and security domains.
  • Workshop Leadership: Lead client-facing workshops, discovery sessions, and whiteboarding engagements – onsite or virtual – to capture technical requirements and propose scalable architectures.
  • Documentation & Design: Create detailed Statements of Work (SOWs), technical documentation, bill of materials, and high-level designs.
  • Client Advisory: Advise clients on Cisco enterprise networking solutions.
  • Internal Support: Support internal solution engineering and delivery teams during project handoff and implementation planning.
  • Technology Research: Stay current on emerging technologies, Cisco certifications, and best practices.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Participate in internal knowledge sharing, mentoring, and the development of reusable solution frameworks and templates.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with Cisco, other technology partners, and key client stakeholders.
  • Sales Support: Assist in RFP/RFI responses, proposal development, and architectural reviews as part of the sales lifecycle.
