Requirements

  • Experience in systems engineering principles and practices for product development
  • Focus on system concept and architecture, requirements and design, integration, verification, and validation
  • Ability to partner with systems engineer peers, marketing, product design teams, quality, and program management
  • Demonstrated ability to execute independently after receiving high-level scope and constraints
  • Experience in Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) R&D or related ecosystem preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall technical leadership for the solution and lead transformation of customer/business needs into quality solutions
  • Drive and monitor technical content, integrity, and integration of the system
  • Drive collaboration with cross-functional partners to achieve technical alignment
  • Identify top project technical risks and drive activities to mitigate them
  • Evolve solution concepts based on learnings from risk burndown and system integration activities
  • Mature solution concepts with cross-functional partners to address trade-offs and allocation to subsystems
  • Communicate solution concepts to core team, business, and cross-functional teams
  • Drive organizational alignment of system solutions through influence
  • Lead identification of Systems Engineering activities, durations, dependencies, work breakdown structure, and delegate tasks to systems engineers
  • Develop system engineers on the project team through coaching/mentoring
  • Lead the Systems Team supporting the project, provide technical review and decisions, escalate challenges with recommendations, and ensure technical correctness of final solution
  • Lead user engagement sessions to collect user inputs
  • Define user workflows and drive procedure development solutions
  • Drive implementation of technical aspects using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices: define design inputs, system design, allocate functionality/performance to subsystems, and review subsystem designs
  • Define and execute plans to drive maturity of technology and algorithmic features to reduce risk
  • Develop and execute System Risk Burn Down Activities to retire risk and demonstrate system capability
  • Lead teams to develop and execute robust and efficient system verification and validation
