Strong understanding of banking policies, procedures, and Northern Trust/Wealth Management Risk Management and Compliance guidelines
Expertise in setting up all types of client accounts and services, including reviewing documentation for completeness
Strong knowledge of various business applications critical to client and account servicing, including online tools and Northern Trust partner/client technology/systems
Ability to work independently under general supervision
Full understanding and adherence to Wealth Management Lobby Banking Operations policies and procedures
Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional client service experience while servicing clients with a full range of banking products and services in person, via telephone, and email
Execute and/or submit administrative and operational activities, including opening/maintaining/closing client accounts, money movement (e.g., wires, fund transfers), preparing client materials/reports, resolving inquiries, and maintaining accurate recordkeeping
Provide maintenance and holistic advice on assigned relationships by identifying client needs and understanding the business model to engage appropriate subject matter experts for opportunities
Proactively communicate with relationship management and other service teams to obtain necessary information for executing activities
Handle paying and receiving activities, including cash transactions and daily balancing
Assist with maintenance and servicing of Safe Deposit Boxes where available
Maintain strong understanding of policies/procedures, adhere to guidelines, and escalate issues/concerns promptly
Keep informed of new products/services to respond to client questions and assist in selling services to expand relationships
Monitor banking reports and assist with banking audits as directed
Share expertise in deposit banking area and train others as designated
