Requirements

  • Knowledge of full range of banking products and services
  • Proficiency in executing/submitting administrative and operational activities (e.g., opening/maintaining/servicing accounts, money movement, recordkeeping)
  • Skills in interacting with clients in person, via telephone, and email
  • Experience with universal banker tasks, including cash transactions via teller system
  • Adherence to banking guidelines, procedures, policies, Risk Management, and Compliance guidelines
  • Expertise in setting up all types of client accounts and services, reviewing documentation
  • Strong knowledge of business applications, online tools, and Northern Trust systems/technology
  • Office-based (onsite performance required)

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the business model and engaging appropriate business unit subject matter experts to explore potential opportunities with the client
  • Providing maintenance and holistic advice on assigned relationships by cross-selling and identifying client needs
  • Executing and/or submitting client account servicing activities within appropriate time frames (e.g., processing wires/fund transfers, opening/closing accounts, maintaining records, imaging documents, researching issues)
  • Proactively communicating with relationship management and Operations teams to obtain necessary information
  • Handling paying and receiving activities, including cash transactions and daily balancing
  • Adhering to all Wealth Management Lobby Banking Operations policies and procedures
  • Assisting with maintenance and servicing of Safe Deposit Boxes where available
  • Reviewing documentation for completeness to avoid deficiencies relating to deposit accounts
  • Maintaining strong understanding of policies/procedures and addressing requirements in timely fashion, escalating issues to management
  • Serving as a mentor to fellow Personal Bankers and helping evolve processes, procedures, and operating environment
  • Resolving client inquiries, preparing/producing client materials and reports
