Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or equivalent industry experience, and at least 8 years of experience working in hardware test. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals is required, along with a proven track record of qualifying hardware in a highly regulated industry. Familiarity with environmental qualification testing standards such as MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160 is preferred.

Responsibilities

As a Sr. Mechanical Test Engineer, you will lead the development of mechanical test stands for functional and environmental qualification testing, specify, source, and integrate required instrumentation, automate repetitive test stand aspects, author and execute test plans and reports, perform data analysis, and collaborate with the team to improve flight hardware. You will also design automated acceptance test stands to identify manufacturing flaws, integrate load cells and data acquisition systems onto testbed aircraft, and interface with software, avionics, and flight operations teams to support testing operations.
