Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with extensive experience of typically 5+ years in mechanical design within the power distribution, construction, and/or MEP industries. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in VA, MD, or NC is preferred, or candidates should be in the process of obtaining their P.E. or currently possess their E.I.T. certification. Proficiency in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks is required, along with a strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations. Candidates must also have the ability to obtain a DoD US Govt. Secret Security Clearance and provide proof of US Citizenship or US Govt Permanent Resident status.

Responsibilities

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead and manage the mechanical design process for various projects within the power distribution, construction, and MEP sectors. They will develop innovative mechanical solutions, ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and provide technical expertise and guidance in mechanical design and project execution. The role also involves maintaining strong relationships with clients, presenting technical information and project updates effectively, and responding to client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
