Candidates must possess over 5 years of experience managing enterprise mobile devices and applications, with strong expertise in VMware Workspace ONE UEM. Advanced knowledge of the Omnissa Workspace ONE platform and its components is required, along with in-depth understanding of iOS and Android enterprise mobility features such as enrollment modes, supervision, managed apps, app configuration, and device compliance. Familiarity with Apple Business Manager (ABM), Google Enterprise, and their integration into Workspace ONE is necessary, as is a deep understanding of MDM and MAM policies including security hardening, user profiles, certificate-based authentication, VPN, Wi-Fi, and conditional access.
The Sr. MDM Engineer will lead the implementation, configuration, and lifecycle management of Workspace ONE UEM for the company's mobile device fleet, including policy enforcement, profile management, and compliance monitoring. They will design and maintain policies for device encryption, passcode enforcement, remote wipe, app whitelisting/blacklisting, and conditional access across iOS, Android, and other supported devices. The role involves packaging, deploying, and managing mobile applications using Workspace ONE's MAM capabilities, providing expert-level support and troubleshooting for mobile device and application issues, and ensuring a seamless user experience. Additionally, the engineer will ensure tight integration of MDM with SSO (Okta), endpoint detection tools, and mobile threat defense solutions, monitor device compliance, generate reports, and evaluate emerging MDM technologies. Documentation of processes, workflows, and policies, along with automation of repetitive MDM tasks and enrollment processes, are also key responsibilities.
