Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience required
  • Proven experience as a people leader
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to guide and empower a large team, build connections, and prioritize customer service
  • Superb coordination skills to plan, coordinate, and set priorities for timely execution
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Consistent, dependable, and accurate in carrying out responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Maintains personal composure in high-paced environments
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
  • Able to work in environmental conditions: Cold Room/Freezers (-22°F/-6°C), Loud Noises, Rapid flashing lights, Some degree of PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Strong Odors, Warehouse, Hazardous/toxic materials

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily distribution operations to meet or surpass benchmarks for inbound/outbound performance, order accuracy, efficiency, and safety
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify trends and proactively address operational challenges
  • Collaborate with Customer Service team to align distribution activities with customer delivery requirements and service expectations
  • Act as main contact to ensure orders are completed promptly and accurately; resolve fulfillment issues with root cause analysis and long-term solutions
  • Lead cross-functional team quarterly to evaluate performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive process improvements
  • Facilitate cross-departmental communication for alignment on priorities and execution of initiatives
  • Optimize labor planning, shift scheduling, and resource allocation for appropriate staffing and high productivity across shifts
  • Recruit, train, and develop team members to build a high-performing, adaptable workforce
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable work environment that encourages engagement and growth
  • Identify training needs and implement development programs for required skills
  • Encourage a culture of innovation and problem-solving
  • Initiate investigations into process failures, product failures, and safety incidents; implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Operate a safe work environment with continuous safety awareness and full compliance to EH&S programs
  • Work with EH&S to enhance safety procedures, report near misses, and participate in safety seminars
  • Uphold Thermo Fisher’s values and standards in customer interactions
