Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, IT, Human Resources, or a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management is required, including at least 3 years focused on IT and/or contingent labor. Experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, such as automation, robotics, or industrial tech, is preferred. Strong expertise in IT procurement models and staff augmentation practices is necessary.
Responsibilities
The Senior Manager, Category Management will develop and execute end-to-end category strategies for IT and contingent labor, conducting market research, supplier segmentation, and benchmarking to inform sourcing decisions. They will identify and drive cost savings and value creation opportunities through competitive bidding, supplier consolidation, and contract optimization. The role involves establishing and maintaining strategic supplier relationships, leading RFx processes, negotiating contracts, and partnering with internal teams to evaluate supplier performance. Furthermore, they will collaborate with Legal, Finance, Security, and Risk to ensure vendor compliance and serve as a subject matter expert on category management best practices, mentoring team members, and leading cross-functional sourcing initiatives.
