Spreetail is seeking a Senior Business Operations Manager - Procurement (Approvals) to be the subject matter expert for the Purchase Order (PO) approval process. This role is critical in ensuring all orders align with financial goals and business objectives, leveraging analytical skills to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement in procurement operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in procurement, process operations, or approvals, with an understanding of the full PO lifecycle.
  • 2–4 years of experience leading or supporting process improvements across a large, cross-functional organization.
  • 1–2 years of experience working with or presenting to senior leaders, including in high-stakes or conflict-resolution settings.
  • Strong data fluency, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into actionable decisions (Excel, Power BI experience preferred).
  • A practical, business-first mindset focused on outcomes like margin, risk reduction, and inventory efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Purchasing Excellence: Evaluate and approve a high volume of purchase orders for domestic and international vendors, acting as the key decision-maker for complex and high-value orders.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze historical and forward-looking data using tools like Power BI and Excel to assess risk, enhance profit margins, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Strategic Process Improvement: Proactively identify trends and inefficiencies in buying behaviors and collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, and Finance teams to address root causes and implement lasting solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as a central point of contact between key departments to ensure a seamless and efficient PO submission and approval process.
  • Champion Best Practices: Develop and maintain robust documentation, play a key role in evolving the operational playbook, onboard and coach new team members, and provide expert guidance on workflow optimization.
  • Impactful Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on PO approval trends, Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance, and identified risks to inform strategic business decisions.
