Candidates must possess a J.D. or equivalent degree from an accredited law school, 12+ years of legal experience, preferably in an in-house legal role within the technology or internet field, and familiarity with the domain name industry. Admittance to the Virginia bar or eligibility for admission as a Virginia Corporate Counsel is required, along with experience advising senior executives and working on AI transactions.
The Sr. In-house Counsel will review and advise on issues related to the implementation of AI, help develop the company’s AI policies, review, negotiate, and advise on agreements for AI services, draft, negotiate, and advise on complex commercial agreements including technology licenses, service agreements, and software agreements, advise on contract interpretation and risk, policies and regulations related to Verisign’s business and AI, understand and advise on applicable U.S. and international laws and regulations, ensure timely communication of material developments to the Law Department, and operate in a collaborative manner.
