Requirements

Proven track record of building and managing strong core engineering teams, with 5+ years of hands-on management experience leading engineering teams
10+ years of comprehensive software engineering experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle
Broad understanding of distributed systems development, including concepts and API development
Solid grounding in the technology of at least one major cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Solid design and problem-solving skills, with a clear passion for engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance
Clear communication, proactive planning, and effective risk management to achieve team goals
Experience developing and mentoring engineers
MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical work experience
Hands-on experience in building cloud solutions and a proven track record of successfully leading people and projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of software engineers, guiding them through successful and timely completion of technical product development projects
Play a critical role in attracting, retaining, and fostering the professional growth of our software engineers
Collaborate cross-functionally with peers across different organizations
Contribute to building globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud-based systems capable of processing trillions of events daily
