Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in backend development, preferably with a focus on cloud-based systems and Go programming language
Strong understanding of Go programming language, experience with caching, backpressure, and partial responses
Experience with cloud services, such as AWS or Azure, and ability to design and implement scalable systems
Familiarity with Unix shell and logging concepts
Experience with testing paradigms, peer code reviews, and logging best practices
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to brainstorm and design complex technical problems
Experience with cloud-based systems, including scalability, performance, and reliability
Strong understanding of cloud services, such as AWS or Azure, and ability to design and implement scalable systems
Experience with Unix shell and logging concepts
Experience with Go, Python, and Unix shell programming languages
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience with mentoring junior and senior developers, and contributing to the direction of products

Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud-based systems to detect and disrupt targeted attacks at a global scale
Brainstorm and design solutions with members across multiple teams
Build elegant and performant solutions for complex technical problems in Go
Read and critique code in multiple programming languages, including Go, Python, and Unix shell
Provide technical guidance and feedback to team members
Focus on continual learning, raising the bar for both yourself and teammates
Leverage understanding of engineering best practices, including topics like testing paradigms, peer code reviews, logging, and resilient architecture patterns
Collaborate on determining root causes of production outages and adding quality improvements to prevent outages
Deliver and accept feedback with grace and courtesy
Participate in root cause analysis and contribute to the development of solutions to prevent production outages
