Responsibilities

  • Analysis and Design: Research, compile, and evaluate information for development and maintenance of large and complex systems and processes to satisfy business needs; design systems/support processes that meet customer requirements while interacting with existing systems
  • Programming and Testing: Construct, modify, and test large and complex system changes
  • Problem determination and resolution: Quickly diagnose complex problems; determine and implement quality solutions timely, including production support, daily problem research, and resolution to minimize business impact
  • Documentation: Provide thorough and complete documentation for all programming changes and enhancements, meeting corporate standards
  • Business Knowledge and Interaction: Understand customer business needs; provide quality support through communication, anticipating needs/problems, understanding change impacts, providing solutions, and suggesting process improvements
  • Project/Task Management: Perform project management for technical aspects of large and complex projects; manage individual tasks to ensure delivery per project plan
  • IT Influence/Leadership: Provide leadership as a model for interaction and task accomplishment; recognized as top expert by peers in areas like programming language, computer system, database; provide feedback to peers/support/management; share knowledge and assist in skill development of others
  • Design, code, test, implement, maintain, and support software systems
  • Work closely with business analysts and customers to gather requirements and meet business needs/expectations timely and cost-effectively
  • Diagnose, isolate, and debug software problems and provide resolution
