Requirements

Visionary leadership to guide and implement medical education and programs strategy aligned with organizational goals and stakeholder needs
Ability to provide strategic direction and leadership for the medical education and programs team, fostering innovation and outcomes
Collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Public Affairs, and Medical Affairs) to develop and implement integrated strategies aligned with Medical Affairs goals
Ensure compliance with ACCME, FDA, OIG, and other relevant guidelines, as well as Gilead policies and federal/state/local statutes and regulations
Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes in medical education to inform decision-making and strategic planning
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including medical professionals, professional associations, and educators
Operational oversight, including effective management of budgeting, resource allocation, and performance management
Ability to navigate complex challenges and drive strategic objectives in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape
Experience as a people leader to evolve culture and create an inclusive, developmental environment (as per general Gilead expectations)

Conduct medical education needs assessments to select industry-leading medical education programs designed to optimize patient outcomes

Shape the future landscape of clinical practice and research through robust education on guidelines-based care to improve patient outcomes
Invest in early career investigators to inspire careers in clinical research
Provide operational oversight, ensuring effective management of budgeting, resource allocation, and performance management
