Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 20+ years experience or Master's/Doctoral degree with 18+ years of experience, including 6+ years managing people
  • Experience working in a similar role in a global matrixed business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
  • Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
  • Clear thinking/problem solving; successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas
  • Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others

Responsibilities

  • Financial oversight of the 10+ legal entities in the Americas regions including responsibility for timely and accurate completion of monthly USGAAP closes
  • Accountable for the accurate financial reporting of the assigned legal entities including periodic balance sheet review support, SOX oversight and account reconciliations
  • Validating the accuracy of information supplied in favor of governmental contracts and coordinating the required audit procedures
  • People Leader of the region including but not limited to coaching, performance/development requirements, regular 1:1s, driving engagement and ensuring the workload is appropriately managed
  • Complete controllership/DoA activities including MJE approval & Manual Cash payment approvals
  • Coordinate with local finance team to support on cycle counts, physical inventory and other inventory control processes while also working closely with shared services support team to ensure the accuracy of financial information
  • Support for tax team on accurate and timely VAT filings and timely completion of the Danaher internal tax reporting packages
