Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, which is preferred, and a minimum of six years of experience in a related field. They must hold a Cisco Certified Network Associate (or equivalent) and an AWS Architect Associate certification, along with demonstrated understanding of cloud fundamentals and networking aspects, including experience with traditional networking within Data Centers, Campus, and Branch connectivity, AWS direct connects, VPCs, Transit Gateways, SGs, ALB/NLB, DNS and Route53, CloudWatch / CloudTrail, Next-gen firewalls, SIEM & SYSLOG, SFlow/NetFlow/Flowlog, Cisco ISR/ASR Routers, Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Switches, Cisco Wireless, F5 Load Balancers and AWS ALB/NLB Load Balancers, Spanning-Tree, Port-channeling and Nexus vPCs, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP Routing, and Management and Monitoring Tools.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Cloud Network Engineer I will maintain persistent involvement in the organization’s migration to the cloud and any future cloud initiatives, participate in the identification, implementation, and support of tools and processes for managing on-prem and cloud networked environments, ensure availability, scalability, and security requirements are met with deployments, stay current with cloud trends and best practices, work with other systems and security teams to support the cloud environment and troubleshoot critical issues, maintain infrastructure support documentation, maintain DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and third-party management tools, act as a member of a larger networking team and support traditional route, switch, and wireless networking, develop and maintain automation capabilities for network device deployment, participate in team and project meetings, and participate in disaster recovery planning.
