High school diploma or equivalent
Trade or Technical school education preferred
2+ years proven experience in facility maintenance with strong understanding of building systems and equipment
Strong skills and background in HVAC, plumbing, steam, electrical, and service practices for mechanical systems
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with ability to diagnose and resolve sophisticated issues efficiently
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and social skills, with ability to collaborate with team members, contractors, and vendors
Ability to operate and maintain a wide range of hand and power tools
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, lift 40 lbs. without assistance, and stand for full shift
Able to work in environmental conditions including cold rooms/freezers (-22°F/-6°C), fluctuating temperatures, loud noises, strong odors, hazardous/toxic materials, heights, various weather, and PPE requirements
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in facility maintenance

Responsibilities

Supervise the upkeep and repair tasks of the facility, including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Water for Injection System, and other Mechanical Systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues using advanced technical knowledge and skills
Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure efficient functioning and longevity of machinery and devices
Coordinate and assist with major repairs, upgrades, and installations, collaborating with external contractors and vendors
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, inventory of supplies, and equipment maintenance schedules
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to handle facility-related issues and implement improvements
Provide mentorship and support to junior technicians
