Requirements

Candidates should possess 6+ years of Linux technical experience and 8+ years of total IT experience, with an engineering or IT academic background. They must demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills on Linux OS and applications, and be capable of working in a 24x7 environment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, along with knowledge of Linux distributions such as RHEL 8 & 9, and familiarity with protocols like DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP, and SNMP. Additional Linux certifications, such as RHCE and RHCA, are considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

The Sr Analyst II Data Engineering will carry out advanced troubleshooting on Linux OS and applications, providing technical support to clients via email and phone. They will be responsible for maintaining the uptime of client projects, ensuring ticket closure according to SLAs, and escalating issues as needed. This role involves shift reporting, change request management, OS patching and upgrades, monitoring and managing agents like Deep Security and BMC TSA/TSOM, and proactively maintaining Linux infrastructure for 24x7x365 uptime. Furthermore, the position requires fault finding, analysis of logging information, performance monitoring, capacity planning, and collaboration with other teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes, as well as participation in project work and driving initiatives.
