Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, applicable certification, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience or 3+ years of public accounting experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Typically requires 2-4 years of professional experience and general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job
  • Working knowledge of the principles, practices, and concepts within own job discipline; broadened capability through practical experience in applying theories

Responsibilities

  • Performs month-end closing activities including account analysis, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation/input, maintenance of journal entry and recon logs, and preparation of internal reports (covering prepaids, marketing and demand creation expenses, DTC expense and accruals, gift cards, unique tender types, incentive accruals, and miscellaneous items)
  • Performs accounting tasks to support DTC business, including month-end closing tasks across a wide variety of topics
  • Accurately prepares monthly retail reserve summary and prepares Quarterly Financial Review and Quarterly Business Review content as necessary
  • Supports master data maintenance processes for new stores and closed stores, including financial dimension impacts
  • Ensures financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
  • Understands and complies with internal controls; maintains SOX compliance activity and documentation; assists with internal and external audits
  • Performs self-review of work to deliver high-quality, error-free work product; maintains high level of productivity
  • Delivers continuous improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes; recommends streamlining or quality improvement opportunities at desk level or end-to-end with cross-functional partners
  • Performs other duties as assigned
