Requirements

  • 3 years or more of experience using lab equipment and electronic lab systems in the pharmaceutical, medical device, cosmetics, or chemical industry (preferred: quality management or analytical testing experience such as physicochemical or microbiological testing, regardless of years)
  • High school graduate or higher
  • Fluent Japanese
  • Desirable: Ability to read and write English
  • Commute within 90 km from home nearest station to workplace and 90 minutes or less by cheapest public transport route (relocation required if outside, with company housing available; applies to vehicle commuting too)

Responsibilities

  • Qualification, maintenance, troubleshooting with repair vendors, and retirement of equipment and systems used for quality management and analytical testing (material inspection, physicochemical testing, microbiological testing) of product materials, injectables, and solid formulations
  • Creation and review of procedures, records, etc., related to quality management equipment and systems
  • Investigation and problem-solving for deviations and troubles together with supervisor
  • Initiation of change management for new equipment and system introductions
  • Participation as an active member in collaborative projects with US headquarters and overseas manufacturing sites
  • Improvement activities for business quality, productivity, and safety within and outside the department
  • Other: Ordering management for quality management equipment and systems
