Requirements

  • Arizona State Certification in Special Education
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education OR a Bachelor’s in a related field with at least two years of K–8 teaching experience
  • Passion for supporting Title I and ESL students in underserved communities
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain an IVP fingerprint clearance card
  • Strong analytical and data-driven instructional skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to deliver an established, rigorous curriculum

Responsibilities

  • Use AMS curriculum standards to teach students above and below grade level through a differentiated approach
  • Attend weekly professional development sessions and meetings with grade-level teams/professional learning communities
  • Communicate effectively with parents and lead parent-student-teacher meetings to facilitate progress both in and outside the classroom
  • Coordinate with administrators and other staff members to create an environment focused on meeting students’ academic and behavioral needs
  • Use measurable data to track student performance and enhance student outcomes with visible results
  • Collaborate with network and school teams to continuously improve instructional practices and student achievement
  • Utilize PBIS and preventative intervention strategies to guide students in developing social and emotional skills that support lifelong learning
