Position Overview

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first. The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty REMs medications such as Lenalidomide, Spravato, and Sublocade. This role performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment and may apply intermediate mathematical skills.

  • Location Type: Remote
  • Required Residency: Must reside in AZ, FL, OH, or TX to work remotely.

Hours

  • Training Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm EST for 6 weeks (timeframe can vary).
  • Work Schedule: Can vary between the hours of 8:00 am - 8:00 pm EST Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Contact physicians for prescription clarification.
  • Enter prescription orders into the system.
  • Support pharmacists and patients by ensuring adherence to Specialty Rx specific operational processes and programs developed to optimize health outcomes.
  • Effectively communicate with patients and providers.
  • Regularly exercise discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes, and techniques.
  • Work under limited guidance due to previous experience, breadth, and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.

Role Requirements

  • Remote Work: Must live in the states of AZ, FL, OH, or TX and be licensed in the state you are working in.
  • Licensure/Certification: Possesses active and current State Registration or Certification, as required by state law to perform this role.
  • National Certification: PTCB (CphT) or ExCPT.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience, including strong data entry.
  • Call Center Experience: Inbound and outbound call center experience.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $43,000 - $56,200 per year.
    • Note: This is a good faith estimate of starting base pay. The actual pay may be higher or lower based on geographic location, demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications.
