Minimum of five years’ procurement experience in relevant categories such as marketing, production, technology, design & construction, and supply chain
Proven experience in category management and operating as an internal business consultant
Ability to work independently and as part of a globally distributed virtual team
Native-level proficiency in Japanese and business-level proficiency in English (written and verbal)
Experience with procurement tools such as Ariba, Coupa, or Per Angusta (advantageous)

Responsibilities

Utilize procurement expertise to conduct thorough cost and market analysis for indirect categories
Prepare and execute structured negotiations following the strategic sourcing process
Plan and execute procurement activities to ensure timely placement of orders and compliance with company policies
Continuously assess market conditions and develop strategies that maximize value and cost savings
Communicate critical purchase status to management and build strategic relationships with key suppliers
Collaborate with business units to lead sourcing activities for goods and services supporting company operations
Manage supplier relationships to optimize value for end users
Build and lead cross-functional teams for sourcing arrangements (reporting to APAC Enterprise Sourcing Director)
