Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, with experience in quality assurance or testing focused on data engineering, AI, or machine learning systems. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages like Python and SQL, along with experience in test automation frameworks, is required. A strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data validation techniques, and machine learning concepts with model evaluation metrics is necessary. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), and CI/CD tools is preferred, as are excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with AI/ML model testing frameworks, bias/fairness testing, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), data governance, compliance, responsible AI principles, and real-time data streaming is also preferred.
The Specialist Data/AI Engineer – QA will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive testing strategies for data and AI systems, including validation of data integrity, model accuracy, and system scalability. Key duties include developing and implementing QA frameworks, test plans, and automated testing scripts for data pipelines and AI/ML models, validating data quality, consistency, and accuracy, and testing AI/ML model performance, including accuracy, bias, robustness, and drift detection. The role involves utilizing cloud platforms and modern data technologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, performing various types of testing (regression, integration, system, performance), automating testing processes within CI/CD pipelines, monitoring production systems, analyzing root causes of defects, documenting test results, and advocating for quality best practices.
