Requirements

  • Direct Reports (3) and overall staff (19), Shared Service centre team (16)
  • Works closely with Country, Zonal Business leaders, including CFO and Regional Stakeholders, Shared Service Centers
  • Provides onsite management and decision making for South Africa
  • Act as SME for South Africa/ AIG Shared services
  • Governance Committees: Credit Committee (Responsible), AIG Outsourcing Committee (Participant), Capital Management (Participant), SAIA Premium Collections Forum (Participant)
  • Ensure adherence to all Compliance, regulatory and SOX requirements

Responsibilities

  • Country Lead of the full Collections function, including full oversight of SA Collections Shared Services Centre in Manila
  • Manage the collection of over $30 million Premium Receivables for South Africa
  • KPI’s – Monitoring ageing figures, both value and item count
  • Manage and work closely with local office and the business to ensure all credit targets meet or exceed the requirements set by Corporate and Regional directives
  • Co-ordinate and manage bad debt (FAS5) provisions
  • Monitoring Goals & Objectives for the respective teams
  • Work closely with SSC and ensure adherence to SLA’s
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Global Live Ledger/AR subledger
  • Responsible for all Receivables reporting for South Africa
  • Provide guidance on query management and remedial action in accordance with Receivables SLAs
  • Support and implement ongoing Optimization initiatives
  • Represent Receivables on all business-related projects
  • Communicate with EMEA Receivables management on key objectives and business performance
