Requirements

Candidates must have over 6 years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting within data operations, analytics, or BI. Proven hands-on experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling is essential, along with a strong understanding of modern data stacks and cloud data warehousing. Excellent communication skills, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and a passion for inclusive teamwork are also required. Prior experience with analytics, ETL, BI, open-source software, dbt, data modeling methods, and data warehousing tooling such as Snowflake or Databricks will make candidates stand out.

Responsibilities

The Solutions Architect will design enterprise-scale data architectures using dbt Cloud and partner with Sales to demonstrate the technical value of dbt Labs solutions. Responsibilities include leading proof-of-concept engagements and technical evaluations for prospective customers, deploying dbt Cloud in private clouds for enterprise clients, and managing the full customer lifecycle from pre-sales through onboarding. The role also involves collaborating with Product and Engineering to influence the enterprise roadmap, enabling strategic partners in their implementation of dbt, and engaging in the dbt Community to contribute to thought leadership.
